Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) that mimics the natural hormone ghrelin by binding to the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a) in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland to selectively stimulate endogenous growth hormone (GH) release without broadly affecting other hormones.
